About Me
My name is Ria Braaksma, and my husband and I moved from Holland to Canada in 1993. I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, which deeply influenced my own career path.
In Holland, my husband was a dairy farmer, but when we moved to Canada, we shifted our focus to the beef industry. In the early years, I worked in various offices in Edmonton, gaining experience in both sales and administration. I also studied Business Management at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
While in Holland, I began studying to become a realtor. Once we settled on a farm in Canada, I decided to pursue real estate here in Alberta as well. I started my career in Stony Plain as a Commercial and Farm Realtor, and in 2013, I joined the Real Estate Centre and became part of their farm team.
With my personal experience in farming and business ownership, I truly enjoy working as a realtor, specializing in farm real estate and commercial properties. I take pride in working closely with my clients, treating each one as a partner in achieving their goals. I am currently licensed in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and taking walks in nature. I also speak Dutch and Frisian fluently, and I understand and speak some German (though I'm a bit rusty).
Please feel free to reach out to discuss how we can work together to achieve your goals. I believe in honesty and respect for the land and the people, and I try to live by these values every day.
