The Pressure Free Life in Agriculture - with Arlen Motz
Pressure has always been part of agriculture, but does it have to control how we think, lead, and live?

ABOUT THE GUEST:
Arlen MotzLeadership Coach and Speaker

Hi, I’m Arlen Motz
For years, I believed pressure was simply part of leadership.
Whether it was farming, business, or everyday life, I thought reacting to pressure was just the price, we paid for caring deeply about what we do.
Like many leaders, I was focused on solving problems around me without realizing that my greatest opportunity for growth was within me.
Everything changed when I began learning practical tools that helped me recognize pressure before it took over.
Instead of reacting, I learned how to respond.
Instead of letting stress determine my decisions, I learned to lead with purpose, intentionality, and trust.
Those simple tools transformed more than my leadership—they transformed my relationships, my confidence, and the way I show up every day.
That journey became what I now call The Factor Journey.
The Factor Journey is the daily practice of recognizing pressure, using practical tools, and building the confidence that transforms how we lead. It’s built on three simple principles:
Purpose gives us direction.
Intentionality shapes our response.
Trust is built one decision at a time.
I don’t believe great leaders are born. I believe they’re built through small, intentional choices repeated every day.
As a grain farmer in central Alberta, I see this truth lived out every season. Farming has taught me that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes consistency, patience, and a willingness to keep showing up. Leadership works the same way.
Today I help leaders, teams, and organizations develop practical tools that allow them to communicate with confidence, make better decisions under pressure, and create healthier cultures where people can thrive.
My goal isn’t simply to help people manage stress.
It’s to help them become the kind of leaders whose calm, confidence, and intentionality inspire everyone around them.
Because when we choose to grow ourselves, our families grow stronger, our teams become healthier, our businesses become more resilient, and our communities are better for it.
If you’re ready to build confidence from the inside out and begin your own Factor Journey, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
— Arlen
