Proven® Seed to Launch Four New Canola Hybrids for 2026 Season

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN (July 14, 2025) – Proven® Seed, the proprietary seed brand of Nutrien Ag Solutions, is expanding its canola portfolio with the launch of four new hybrids for the 2026 growing season. The additions include both LibertyLink® and TruFlex® options, each offering distinct maturity ranges, trait packages, and agronomic advantages to meet the evolving needs of Western Canadian farmers.

LibertyLink Hybrids

Proven Seed’s LibertyLink additions include three new hybrids:

PV 662 LCM

• Multigenic clubroot resistance
• Excellent standability
• Suitable for delayed swathing or straight cutting

PV 662 LCM is a true workhorse hybrid that combines high-yield performance with harvest flexibility and disease protection. Its consistent results across more challenging regions like central and northern Alberta, make it a strong choice for farmers seeking reliability and standability in a mid-maturity product.

PV 663 LCN

• Early to mid-maturity
• NTACT® pod shatter reduction technology
• Excellent clubroot resistance
• A strong candidate for straight-cutting

PV 663 LCN is ideal for farmers who want to integrate straight cutting into their harvest strategy. With the addition of Proven Seed’s proprietary NTACT technology, this hybrid significantly reduces the risk of pod shatter loss while maintaining yield stability and operational efficiency.

PV 664 LCN

• Full-season maturity
• NTACT pod shatter reduction technology
• Advanced blackleg & clubroot resistance
• Optimized for straight-cut systems

PV 784 TCN is a comprehensive solution for farmers seeking flexibility, robust disease resistance, and ease of harvest.
