For more than 30 years, Mariana Cowan’s award winning performance has helped her become a recognizable face in Real Estate. In 2007, Mariana was recognized as a “Billion Dollar Agent” in Steve Kantor’s boo, Billion Dollar Agent – Lesson Learned. In 1996 she founded Coldwell Banker Supercity Realty and built The Cowan-Smith Home Selling System, Atlantic Canada’s first use of the Team Marketing Model.
Mariana Cowan has built her reputation based on continuing education and maintain an in-depth understanding of the real estate market both locally and internationally. Not only does Mariana have over 10 industry designations, but she regularly delivers training on developing team systems and life balance, for REALTORS around the world.
Mariana is also highly involved in industry and local associations, as well as charities and community events. Currently Mariana is a member of the National Association of REALTORS:registered:, Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS , Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Group. The Group Halifax and the First Angel Network. In 2008 Mariana was recognized by the Canadian Progress Club as a Woman of Excellence. In 2013, Mariana has already received two nominations for RBC’s Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.
In her local community, Mariana sits on the Family SOS Board as the vice-Chair and Chair of the Courage to Give Back Awards. She also promotes strong community involvement at Coldwell Banker Supercity Realty and has sponsored events including the 2013 School Clean-Up Project (in collaboration with Waves of Compassion), many Family SOS initiatives, and the Dress for Success Halifax. She is also personally a member of the 100 Women Who Care, which recently began in Halifax to support local charities.
Mariana has a well-diverse number of designations such as Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), internet marketing (EPRO), staging, plus a member of Coldwell Banker’s International Previews Marketing program.
