Free Mental Health Training For Communities Across Canada

Reference: Do More Ag

The Community Fund for Mental Health Education is proudly presented by Farm Credit Canada as an opportunity for those in Agriculture to access free mental health literacy in communities across Canada.

The training and workshops are aimed at developing community members to be able to identify mental health concerns and provide initial support to producers coping with difficult or unfortunate circumstances.

"For a person who has struggled with mental illness, I found Do More Ag workshops to be of great assistance for finding tools and reminding me that it is okay to struggle and that I am not alone" said a workshop participant.

What Is The Talk Ask Listen Workshop?

A half day interactive workshop solely dedicated to those who are involved in agriculture. Knowing that knowledge is power and farming is unique, our goal for this workshop is threefold. One, that you walk away with greater awareness and understanding of mental health. Two, you can access this training in the cab of your tractor or at the office. And three, help you and those around you break down barriers and dispel the stigma through three actions - talking, asking and listening. The “Talk, Ask, Listen” workshop was created by farmers for farmers. It has already been delivered to thousands of producers across Canada.
