FCC KNOWLEDGE PODCAST - TALKING FARM AND FOOD - Episode 19: Sold! Let’s talk about the benefits of auctions

The pace of conversation may be a bit slower than what Jordan Clarke from Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers is used to, but he has a lot of valuable insight to share on the auction business.

In this episode, Jordan and Marty discuss using online sales to broaden your customer base, the benefits of adding an auction person to your advisory team and how auctioneers can help when it’s time to offload assets before you retire.

Jordan Clarke
Sales Director | Ritchie Bros., Western Canada Agriculture

Jordan was active in his family’s farming and auction business in his youth. Throughout his childhood, sports was an important part of his life and he was able to excel as a hockey player, eventually moving away from home to chase his dream by playing in the WHL.

His path eventually led him back to Rouleau where he and his brother along with their parents, were going to grow and evolve their farm auction business. In 2007, they made the tough but wise decision to sell their company to Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. Jordan and his wife, Danielle, relocated to Saskatoon to serve his new position with Ritchie Bros. Over the past 14 years, Jordan has held numerous positions within the company but most recently as Sales Director for the Canada Prairies Division.
