Farmers and Citizens to Rally at Legislature in Defense of Veterinary and Lab Services

FREDERICTON, NB: A coalition of impacted New Brunswickers including farmers, veterinarians, business owners, academics, non-profits, and youth organizations will gather at the Provincial Legislature on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to peacefully protest the recently announced plans of this government to eliminate provincial veterinary services and end of the current provincial lab service delivery model.

These public services are essential to animal health, public safety, food security, and the livelihoods of those who depend on them. The day will include guest speakers, a tractor parade, and performances by local musicians. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
