Help us Understand the Experience of Farm Women

Farm Women – Have Your Say!

Participate in our National Survey for your chance to win $500!

Much has been said about the role of women on the farm, but little has been measured. The roles and participation of women in farming is changing. While the Census of Agriculture reports that about 1/3 of farms have a woman as a primary decision maker (either as sole proprietor or in a partnership), there is ample anecdotal evidence to suggest that women are positioned to influence decision-making in ways that go far beyond Census measurement.

Farm Management Canada and CentricEngine Inc. have undertaken an important and timely research project that will provide a comprehensive baseline for understanding the roles, status, barriers and opportunities to support women involved in farming.

We’re encouraging women who lead farms, work on the farm and otherwise contribute to the success of the farm to complete our national survey. The survey should take less than 30 minutes to complete. And, all those who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win $500!

Our research team is currently calling farm women across Canada, and we encourage you to answer their call! We want to make sure we give all farm women an opportunity to share their experience. If you have not received a call, please click on the following link to complete the survey: https://api.legerweb.com/womeninfarming
