Hello Manitoba Young Farmers,

To support the development of your communication, leadership, and advocacy skills, we are offering free government relations training in November. In this 90-minute virtual session you will learn how to effectively share your viewpoint with elected representatives, focus your limited time with them, and hone your case when it comes to changes you would like to see in agricultural policy.
We will be offering the same session twice and are limiting the number of participants to provide you with time to practice during the training session. Please register early to ensure availability. Training will be provided by Richard Phillips of Arlogh Consulting.

Session 1- November 24 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm (To register for this session please click link)

Session 2- November 25 from 1:00 -2:30 pm (To register for this session please click link)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
While this training will be valuable throughout your farming career, we are planning a series of interactive webinars in the new year so you can practice your newly acquired skills. Held over the lunch hour, politicians will deliver a short introduction focused on the agricultural issues they are involved with, followed by a moderated session where the audience will be asked to submit their questions. This is your opportunity to ask the questions that concern your farming future and get answers directly from decision makers.

Schedule for Agricultural Policy Webinars-

January 15, 2021- Sarah Guillemard, Minster of Conservation and Climate

February 19, 2021- Blaine Pedersen, Minister of Agriculture and Resource Development

March 19, 2021- TBD

April 16, 2021- Ron R. Schuler, Minister of Infrastructure

We will be sharing more information about this series of webinars as we confirm the details and look forward to your participation. If you have any questions about the training or webinar series please contact Thea Green for more information ( 204-924-6018)
