The property can be driven to by truck in the non-winter months via Highway 65 then onto Henwood Concession 3 Rd. From there you drive along a seasonal dirt road to the property. This section will not be maintained. In the winter months you can snowmobile your way in.
The property is totally surrounded by Crown land. No unwanted pesky neighbours here!
There are No services available to the property. You would be going GREEN and off the grid here. Alternative sources of power such as solar, wind, propane or a generator would be ideal.
The contour maps indicate quite the diversity on this property. The western section of the property has a mountain range with an elevation of 350 metres slowly rolling down to 290 meters. In addition there are some small seasonal creeks and some decent sized ponds to the south.
Approx in 2012 a section of the land was selectively cut, however when looking at the maps there are large sections of mature growth remaining and the re-growth is coming back in well.
The property is on the western line of WMU #28. Here you can hunt for Moose, and most popular Black Bear! With the creeks and ponds on the property you my come across many ducks and geese as well.
Although no immediate water-bodies to fish on the property, you have a handful of great lakes within minutes of the property. Lundy, Indian, Lepha and Grace are just a few in the area. Pick a lake and try your craft out on the search for Trout, Great Northern Pike, Walleye, and Bass.
Need supplies? The town of Elk Lake Ont is only 30 minutes away and for any specific needs New Liskeard is approx 44 minutes. With a population over 10,000 you will find everything you would need to start your build, fuel, groceries. postal services and social services.
