Cheese and dairy listeria warning
December 16, 2011
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people not to eat certain Clic brand cheese or butter because it may be contaminated with listeria.
There was been at least one report of someone becoming sick after eating the products, which were distributed in Quebec and Ontario, but may have been sold in other provinces.
Moujadale, Riviera, Tresse and Vachekaval cheeses, plus the one- and two-pound bricks of desi butter ghee — clarified butter — have been recalled. These products have been added to another recall on Nov. 24 that included a number of Clic, Deschamps, Fromagerie Marie Kade and TIFCO products.
The manufacturer, 3903052 Canada Inc., Boisbriand, Que., is recalling the product.
